race tune may hurt a bit in gas mileage true, but you will notice a big difference if you drive them all enough. i love the race tune, but didn't order a torque tune and wish i had.

So if you use the torque tune to gain low end, how much high end do you lose? Also, which would be more beneficial towrads 1/4 mile times, perf. of torque?

i have neither but my guess would be the race tune would be the ideal tune for the track...a tune like the performance since its high end would be for like autocross or racing from a roll or the high way...torque im not to sure of but if it were me i wud put my money on it for the 1/8

I have made about 8-10 passes on the 1/8 mile with both the tq and race tune. On average, the tq tune is faster by .2 to .3 seconds.

faster by .2 to .3 in the 1/8? Wow, that's pretty significant. Cool

I see you are in San Diego. Do you ever go to Race Legal or Barona? Next race at Barona for Test and Tune is Dec 6,7. Much better track than the Q.

I actually don't own a mustang yet. I plan on buying one in mid december and am just trying to gather as much info now because i'm going to get intake/tune/axel back at the same time. I also plan to go to Barona in the future as well, but what is Race Legal? Is it at Qualcomm?

Race legal is at Qualcomm. It's every other Friday night. They usually run two tracks. It's a good parking lot, but a crappy track.

its all in how much time the tuner give the engine...

torque - advanced in the low end (under 3500rpm)
performance - advanced all the way through... lower torque under the curve.
race - locked timing and most all TM removed.

all of its gay... these motors work with vtech....
