Building an 1/8 mile beast?

Guys the track near me is only an 1/8 mile. What mods do you think would suit best for running the 1/8th? I have CAI and 93 Tune right now. Any suggestions?

For eighth Mile racing, you'd better get some 4.30's or more.
Make sure you have a high winding motor, the car had better be light.

When we take the car down from our 1/4 Mile racing season, we switch out the rear end from 4.10's to 4.56's, change the wheels and tires, and trade the stock passenger seat for a kirkey aluminum Race seat to save weight.
This helps us run the 6.20 index here or sometimes we add weight and run the 6.60 index.

Lets put it this way. A street beast that will hold its own in the 1/8th.

N/A or FI??? i say slap a stroker in it, stage 3 heads, big cams, 6 spd tranny, 4.56 gears, that will get you started (as long as you get a good suspension)..........or you could just slap a blower on it (twin screw for 1/8th mile street car)

Then it either has to be Sprayed or Blown. I would choose blown with the Roush TVS blower and some good supporting mods and have a fun driver that could run high 10's but some 6.80's thru the 1/8th.

You need something to get it moving Quickly, and safely and get some speed right at the hit of the throttle.

If you want, give me a ring and I'll help ya figure out what you need to do to have a fun daily driver yet a monster on the track.
