Cool Rich. Thanks again for all of the info . . . a lot to take in. I'm still going back and forth on the axle-back's but you have made some great points that have been taken to heart. You will hear from me once I get it all sorted out. Would like to go ahead on the locking header bolts though. Let me know what you think that looks like.

Header install

Hey all, I am getting my Hooker LTs iwith off road X pipe installed tomorrow and I have a question about the O2 sensors... Will my SCT 3 automatically turn off those sensors or do I need to go into the tuner and manually turn them off?

Any my other question is approx how much horsepower gain should I expect to see tomorrow after the install only other mods installed as of now is the C&L and SCT tuner.

Thanks

You will have to go and turn them off. Its not that hard though. I have a XCAL 2 so I couldn't tell you the exact process but I'm sure its not hard. Should be in the instructions that came with it. Or you can call the tuner you got it from and ask them too.

If you would have bought the headers from me you would have gotten 100+ plus hp.

Since you didnt, you will probably pick up about 15-20 at most, with a o/r x pipe. im betting more like 17. and like towelly said, you need to manually turn the rear o2s off.

with the off road x they are going to sound like shit. Sorry. If you dont think so you will be the first person.

Just put kooks catted x on a termi with flows. that sounds good, but the 3v and axle backs make it different.

STANGGT, just wanted to let you know I got my Hooker headers installed and guess what, I am in love at first sound lolol... I know you said it wouldnt sound good with the Flowmasters, but I am extremely impressed with the sound. maybe I am getting old with one bad ear but it sounds badass, so drone, no raspiness, etc. Everyone who has heard it so far think its sounds SICK. at cruising speeds its just a nice humm, but hit the gas and she comes to life. I have owned many mustangs but have never had the money before for headers, what a great "investment" in my eyes :-). Oh I know how you all are about wanting to see video, so I will try and get one up tomorrow... PS, sorry for stepping on your thread...

Not a problem about stepping in the thread man. Its exhuast related.

Im glad you like it.

I was just going by what most people seem to say. I have always thought the flows that i hear sound pretty good. Then again my taste vary some from the crowd, as in..... h pipes suck!!!! Im in the minority on that opinion.

Get us that vid man.
