Tire Pressure Sensor Light?

Ok like the caption says my tire pressure sensor light comes on intermittently. Wow that was a big word. Hope I spelled it right. Anyone have or had this problem. It goes away after the car is turned off. Sometimes it comes back other times it doesn't. Seems like it started after I aired up all four tires. I put the recommended air pressure in the tires. The car is still under warranty. But I hate dealing with dealers.

Disconnect the battery for alil and see if it still happens

Where'd you get the tires from?
Discount Tire had a recall on the sensors I believe?

The light is flashing. The tires are stock.

you possibly have a sensor going bad, what does the message center say when the light comes on??

It says "Tire pressure sensor" also an icon appears, a tire that is flashing

If light is flashing, you have a sensor that is either broken or going bad. Take it to the dealer and see if they'll warrenty it.

Just valve stems, and there was no recall

. We can't recall someone elses product.

yup you have a bad sensor.......if your tire pressure was off it would say something about tire pressure..........when it says something about a sensor fault the computer is not comunicating with one or more of the sensors inside the tires........take it to the dealer and see if they can re-train the sensors, and if one or more of them will not re-train, that is your bad sensor. im not sure how long the warranty is on them, i think they are under the base 3 yr. 36k mile warranty.

My car just turned over 2500 miles. Warranty sounds like the way to go. I'll call the service manager at the local Ford dealer.
