<-----newb ftw! glad to join the mustang world :)
heya fellas, new guy here. just got my pony about 3 weeks ago and lovin it! got a 06 GT vista blue i think (dark blue). i've had a 95 4x4 chevy ever since i turned 16 and i finally got out of college and got a job that pays well enough for me to afford one i've wanted forever.
i'm new to all the mod stuff but i'm sure i'll get it all straightened out soon, i've been searching around trying to learn all i can, so u might hear a few retard questions from me every now and then  i'll post some pics as soon as i can steal somebody's digital camera!  -first question ~ i put flowmasters on it but they're not as loud as i thought they would be. i'll get a full exhaust and headers setup as soon as i get the cash, but until then......i thought about cutting off or hollowing out the CATs, but i also heard that lowers low-end torque? true / false? |

i i were u and since u got an 05+ i would definately try to return that and get an SLP loudmouth. they sound unbeilevable on the new cars. and their nice and loud but not obnoxious loud.

SLP is my top choice atm i think, but its gonna be a few months or so before i can afford the full setup

I saw an off road H pipe for $159 somewhere....sorry can't remember where but if you search you'll find it.
That'll get rid of the cats and make it much louder.....Welcome to the site!

Though for a new person to modding allow me to make a reccomendation. Definately get the SLP Loudmouth Axel back exhaust kit. Also I'm going to guess that you didn't know that off road/racing pipes make your car not street legal.

Brenspeed (www.brenspeed.com or call Dave 574-594-9559) has the Pypes H offroad for $170 which includes shipping. I have it on my 07 with JBA mufflers and it sounds great. Don't gut the cats. You will need them for inspections ( I am in Dallas) and they do check them. The cost to replace them will greatly exceed the cost of a good offroad pipe. Congrats on your purchase.

couple words of advice would be that with almost every mode comes retuning so you with probably want to watch for a group buy on a SCT handheld... welcome to the site, be sure to join the members map!
