bmr lca's

I knew something felt off in the suspension as well. God i get tired of being right.

The bmr control arms have a spacer on one side of the back. this is to maintain a factory offset. this goes on the inside, regardless of the word bmr, i.e they may have put the spacer on either side from bmr. I knew they looked different. i ask a shop to look at the suspension back there before the rear went up, they said everything was fine.

I had to bang it out of the bracket with a hammer. I knew it wasnt that tight going it. When ford put the new axle on he put the control arm on inside out. I dont blame him to much but the aftermarket shop that looked at it........you do this for a living boys.

Is it just laziness on some employees or what?

im going to do some write ups as i put this all back together.

A little here....

Sounds like there is a spacer washer required along the inside of the LCA as the arm is made a little different than that stock angle? Hopefully your write-up will clear-up my confusion, end my dillusion and heal my contusion

stock lower control arm. It looks like it has the same offset in the back that im talking about.

best picure i have of Bmr billet lca, on the are on top is on the left side, on the are on the bottom is on the right side, Its like an offset. Thats not just how that metal is shaped that is a spacer, that goes on the rear side of the control arm and facing the inside of the car.

OK. That is pretty much what I was picturing in me mind.

It also appears there is a left and right side relocation bracket. Is this true? Looks like the LH pic shows the vertical bar moved to the side more as well as not as many bends on it either, compared with RH one. I wonder how many have tried to put install on incorrect sides and gotten all messed up.

Yea it is a left and right side. i think it would be impossible......well lets said hard to put those on wrong, the left side bracket, the back part of it sits inside the stock mount and the right doesnt. Thats why welding is more of an issue on the right then left.

LOL. it was hard to get them off, so im assuming it was hard to get them on that way. It wasnt hard to put them on the right way. So if you used a hammer to get them in the bracket, thats your first clue.

^ Hey, Mickster

I just started visualizing someone hammering on the LCA relo brackets onto 07's ride.

"Dammit.... hey Bob, hand me that 2.5 LB sledge there. These brackets are bent and don't fit right"

Not funny that 07's parts were incorrectly installed, but rather didn't seem to even THINK about possibly were being installed on the wrong sides!

well you if you have rod ends. But the spacer on the boxed arms and billet arms are the same yes, and they go on the inside.
