1997 svt cobra

my nieghbor has a stock 1997 svt cobra and says he will kill my 2007 gt.. think i should run him with my gt?? his is a 5 speed with stock everything except some off brand mufflers

Really?? they say he has 300 hp and 320 foot pounds.. i have stock engine with just a cai.. exhaust coming as with gears.. should i wait for the exhaust or gears? idk i think my cars pretty sick from a 70 mph 2800 rpm 4th gear roll banging it to 3rd and naling it.. i guess ill have to try

those old 96-01 cobras are pigs... they are slow as hell. You hsould walk the dog on that cobra.

My co-worker has a 98 svt Cobra and I raced him when I was stock.He had aftermarket exhaust,CAI & MSD ignition.From a 15 roll he pulled a car on me!When I hit 2nd I reeled him in and walked!So you will beat him!IMO,,,the only "factory" Cobras to worry about are the 03-04 ones with eatons on them!And of course the new GT500 Cobra!LOL!

Nice ! I'd say a bunch of crap but hey...that cobra is a stang..and I love them ALL. Ford is getting better, stronger..My 07 will be that 97 in a few years. SO here we are...in its day that cobra was the &(*&(*. Lets all give a moment of silence to the fallen cobra......
Remember though....it is a Mustang !

I love any year cobra but your ganna smash that thing. I know my dad did from a dig at a red light... we hit second and it got ugly... then it ended.

There you have it. Any surprise, 9 year old cobras are getting beat by new GT's ? My 07 GT is fast, but to be honest, an 07 gt500(cobra) would kill me...well maybe not kill me, but beat me by 2 cars at 1/4 mile. I can add al kinds of modds...but it will take a grip of $ to beat him

well no shit man (not to be mean) but a cobra is a mustang designed to KICK ASS.. If i supercharge my stand id own cobras with a whipple man. supercharger, gears, tires, springs, exhaust, thats about 8200 your putting into the stand and it will stomp out a gt500.. and if you have a gt/cs you even almost look as good as the cobras

Yea I saw that a while back. That is one BAD GT500. Running it like that, how long will it last, gonna be rebuilding soon.

Trust me it would kill you even with a moderate driver lol. So would the 03 cobra. Forget about it if the driver of the cobra or gt500 can really drive the cars.
