My pants are on fire!!!!!

Now that I have your attention, does anyone have a picture of the transmission mount bushing that rests between the tranny and crossmember? I have a nasty thump coming through my shifter and I'm trying to make sure something's not broke. It all started after I lifted the tires this weekend (see thread titled "Season Opener" for video). Didn't notice it till the drive home driving over the frost heave lines in the road. When I hit a bump, my shifter goes thump...wickitty wickitty, yo. It shifts fine, there's no vibration, the engine mounts are perfect. Just not sure what the crossmember bushing is supposed to look like...cuz mine is bent a little bit on both sides of the mount. Just want to make sure that it came from the factory like that...

On a side note, how much vertical play should a Steeda Tri-ax have? I can move the shifter arm ball in the base's cup up and down about 1/4"...

I just looked at mine, I have the driveshaft and H pipe out of it. The bushing is flat in the middle with the ends bent up at about a 45 degree. Looks like you described.

Well, took it for a drive again, still getting a clunk, noticing it more on decel...feels like it's coming from inside the tranny...no good. Any transmission gurus out there have an idea what may be causing a decel clunk that I can feel in the shifter?

You sure you aren't hearing the stereo playing on the local rap station.

I'm just a poor TSgt...unless you got one sitting around you're willing to give away, I'll be keeping the 5 speed. Besides, I'm not sure off the top of my head what rear gear I'd have to run to make that work with my set up.

Nope. On or off torque in 2nd and 5th gear, or going over bumps. Talked to a local tranny shop and they said I should probably bring it in for a look. I don't remember anyone on here busting up a stock 5-speed with a bolt-on blower setup, but apparently I've managed to pull that off. And of course, in my quest for Google knowledge, I was sad to find that there aren't any offering for the 3650 to beef the sonofabitch up...unless someone has found something...and could point me in the right direction...
