Roush up grade

I talked to my dealership today and they told me that the roush reps were there and there is a new pully coming for the s/c. He also told me it was going to add 30hp hopfully at the wheels? And still maintian the warrenty.
He made me think that we didn't have to send the computer to roush. So I am on the list. JM

hmmm i'm suprised that you dont have to retune the car for that power, especially since H.O. kits come with different injectors on practially all S/C kits. so a retune is a must

might want to double check his info. he's a dealer, so he wouldn't quite have all that information since the kits not out. give Roush a call for all that information. direct from the company is always better than going through a dealer

The folks at New Holland Ford in Lancaster Pa are in the process of installing a Roush M90 SC on my new 07 GT and they told me they have to send it back to Roush so I believe you were misinformed about not having to send it in. However, they were correct about saving the warranty when installed by an authorized dealership. Bill

It might be possible that they are allowing the dealer to input the tune upgrade since the brain was already sent to them on the original installation. I gotta check with my dealer too, sounds like they are getting close. Did your dealer indicate any price ?

I already paid them. The total cost to me was $6,850 that included the SC, intercooler etc, supplemental kit needed for an 07, installation and 6% Pa tax. I just called New Holland and they said their waiting for it to come back from Roush

I paid 5700 for my roushcharger installed so that means the kit must be around a grand. I know a pully can be had for 150 so is that good for the rest of it?

put it this way, your paying a grand for more power, but keeping your warranty! if thats what it costs to keep your warranty than it worth it.

That was a great price. What I paid was well within my budget so I'm fairly happy with it. Please keep in mind that was including the tax. They just called and told me I can pick it up, so even at 61 I'm excited about getting it back. They also installed a roush short throw shifter.

William don't feel too old a lot of us are right there with you. I'm 55 myself. We were the original muscle car generation so it's only natural for us to want another one.

Thanks for all the support on the age. I had a 69 Mock 1 and like the fool I am went to a (get this) VW during the gas crisis and was sorry ever since. This time I'm never getting rid of this one. I live in Lebanon, outside Harrisburg. Originally from Scranton. By the way, I got it back and I'm very happy. My new pipes (borla) sound twice as good. May not be the fastest, but it certainly isn't the slowest. Even got some props from two guys driving vets yesterday. Bill

The new 73mm pulley is on the Roush web page now. It adds 15hp and costs $398. You can install it yourself and they send you a FedX box to send the ecm back to them to get recallibrated. They claim they get it back to you overnight. I'll find out soon enough. Here's the link to the Roush page:
