dont be to sad, you watch...the white on black is becoming very popular as well and idk im proud to be a black on black. The only reason i might go white on black is if i got a C/S...otherwise i love my black pony...though i have some unique paint schemes runnin through my head ill post pictures when i choose one =]

As for paint....anywhere from $500-10,000....i guess it just depends

thats basicly...do you want sam's paint shop or chip foose to paint your car

haha

When I first saw my beauty it was love at first sight...when I opened the door I saw she was black on black and I was FLOORED! I thought it looked AMAZING. Kinda like the old western movies where the bad guy always wore a black hat and rode a black horse...cause I'm no good guy by any means

But black is harder to keep clean...it shows all of the blah blah blah F-THAT! As if you'd actually NEED a reason to go wash and wax your ride. Don't get down on the color scheme until you've seen your own because you just may be amazed....

i also bought the black/black it looks great, for about 10 mins after washing. everything shows, waterspots dust etc... mine has 1800 miles and already has 2 scratches and a ding, which is extremely noticeable. i am seriously considering taking a huge hit and trading it in on white or red. taking a couple grand hit is worth getting rid of the agravation, not to mention the everyday washing.

There's nothing sharper than a black car. It emits bad ass. Yeah, things are more noticeable, but I'd rather have black than any other color. More work, but more satisfaction.

I like black....back in 93 I went to school in phoenix and I drove my black blazer. It got pretty hot, the heat in the desert wiped out the inside and the outside in one year. when I got back home the dealership repainted the outside, and the sticky chrome strips on the door panels and the dash all fell off....If I lived down there all the time I think I would lean toward white, so it all depends on where you live. I liked black until i lived in the desert......JM

Yeah, back in the 80's the EPA made the big 3 take the lead additives out of paint and for awhile almost all color paint in any harsh weather conditions didn't hold up. I remember seeing a lot of late 80's and early 90's cars with the paint missing from the hood, trunk, etc. The big 3 finally started putting better paint and clear on the cars in the mid 90's.

if your car isn't yet on the assembly line you very well might be able to change those few little things. go ask your dealer or if you have a vin just email ford directly from their website.

Definitely get you a California Duster if you have black...that thing is a GODSEND!

And don't worry about driving an automatic...a Mustang probably isn't the best car to learn how to drive a stick anyway....

Until you sign the loan papers or title you can change your mind. Any dealer I know will let you change your mind right up until you take delivery.( as long as you buy from them). It usually doesn't even matter if you ordered it unless you ordered something way out and unusual like no a/c in florida. Get what you want and don't worry about what you ordered. Good luck Norm

I didn't find hard... and this is my first manual car...

Anyways, Stick with it. Black on black is hot, many of the 'stangs I see are white and I've kinda grown to hate white cause of it. lol

Edit: and like GTNorm says, you can change your mind even if they have it at the dealer, when I bought mine, the dealer tried to sell me a white (irony) Mustang that someone ordered and never bought it.

It's a cloth duster...on a steek <heh> impregnated with a waxy compound that causes dust to just stick to it. Lifts dust and loose dirt off a car like magic and, though I don't know how it does it, they say the dirtier it gets the better it cleans.

Usually one pass on an area and it is free of dust. Takes about a minute to do your whole car before a drive.

Oh, and as for color, well, mine is black on black and it is exactly what I wanted when I went to the dealership. yes it is a pita to keep clean, yes every little nick shows up like it has a big-ass neaon arrow pointing at it, but I love it.

I've seen several other color combinations that I like as well, but to me the black is the best.
