Break my rear Axle

Break my Rear Axle last weekend ...
the wheel fly off my car while demo the S/C power the car to a Nissan Z owner.
I had see many Mustang come and go ...I had a GT back in 1982.
Never saw or any one mension break the 8 1/2 rear Axle like this.
what should I do next ...buy a 9inch rear ...or just use better parts.

I will show the picture later

Mine entire rear went with only 115 miles on the car.

Gears were shredded needed a new axle etc etc.

Plus my car is 2 months old and the new axle is already covered with rust. FORD - Quality is JOB 1

Or you can just put in 31 or 33 splines in it with a different T-loc and gears!!

I wanted something basically bullet-proof back there, so I went with a Currie 9 inch. You can order a complete setup including gear of choice, trutrac, and alum driveshaft. It comes as a package and is very easy to install. Maybe overkill at my present power level but I'm planning for the future and if you run slicks at the track and the car really starts to bite, sooner or later something back there is going to break.

Now I have an entire stock rearend/driveshaft laying in my garage taking up space. Will sell cheap.

Think it was about $3700 incl driveshaft and installation.

Oh..I have the 31 Spline axles...Good Question...just at a traffic light & let the car just rolling to prevent wheel spin than nail the gas...The car just spin around so fast ! I don't even know the wheel came off the car at that time . Just trying to catch the spin...

Fit and finish and other warranty / tsb issues are common place with Ford.

Im not saying other car companies dont have issues too but for instance if you compare fit and finish on a Toyota to a Ford. The Toyota will win everytime.

My mustang mach 1 had a crooked trunk from day 1. My 07 GT has a flawed panel where there is almost like a dent in it. You can see it in the sunlight. One side is fine the other is off slightly.

Hey this is my 2nd stang and I love them plus my GF has an 06. Im not putting them down but if you havent had a problem of some sort or another with your mustang you are in the minority.

sounds to me like you did something completely wrong, to break the axles.. maybe your actual wheels werent bolted down correctly, because if they were it shouldnt of came off even if the axles were broken.

I did not do anything wrong like bolted down the wheel incorrectly ...You can see the brake disc also break off + the Caliper was cracked too.

I did a acceleration test before ( no drag racing burn out or high rpm start )and the car airborne going over bumpy road (3 times)while under full acceleration maybe the reason to crack the spindel .

My question is how to solve the problem like buying good parts or really need to go for a 9inch rear setup?
