The KB has arrived.

Install begins Monday and on Friday taking it up to the Richmond Drag, I need a cameraman desperately! 99Mustang232 what are you doing Friday night?
You've yet to make it up there with me. CMON bitch!
Anyone else in the area interested in making a run up there next Friday?

If I don't get a 12 sec timeslip this time, I'll be looking to trade this car in for a bigwheel!

Yeah I think it definitely will get a high 11 with something better than these street nittos. E/T Streets will be my next tire purchase.

If I can convince Mustang232 to get up there with me I'll have a vid to share!

Yeah until I have enough saved for a new short block I'm going to keep it nice and safe. Maybe 9 psi, but around 450 and I'll be happy on this stock 4.6

It kills me to think I'm only going to be using 1/3 of what the KB can provide. I'm really anxious to see 700+ hp now that I know I have something that can deliver it. Maybe next year.

Well like the site said, that high up requires seriouse engine modifications on the stock block. So in time you'll get it. But with 450 You will find it hard to loose a race or not have fun with it. So just be patient and you will get the 700 one day.

Yeah I'm looking at the BMR stuff right now.

I think my next round of bank busters will be the Baer big brake kit and all the rear BMR stuff I can get. LCA's and Subframes mainly.

The Eibachs are going in, but eventually after the brake upgrade I'll slap the D-specs on her.

That's nice to hear you turned 11.2 w/453.
What kind of suspension had you done to get that?
Were you running slicks?

Well first off man 11.2, you think you could get into the 11's with a kb on an s-197?

And to leet, is it just me or do the brakes on the gt suck big time?

Yeah the brakes are horrible. There's actually a TSB out for the rear brake pads. I took mine in and they couldn't reproduce the problem so I was ass out.

That baer kit I saw for 949.00 is starting to look better every day.
Only two piston but the rotors are slot/cross.

OH and yeah I do think 11's with sc+ s197.
Justin Burcham is all the proof you have to search for.

Well if you run it at enuff psi not just 8 and make maybe 500 or alittle more hp to the wheels, 11's would be cake.

the suspension is eibach drag kit with bilstein shocks. that time was run on a set of m/t e/t street DRs. i still spun a little bit hence the 1.6 60' but it was a good run. but i think you up the boost just a little on that and youd be in the hgih 11's easy. and ive heard that the new bottem end is good for something liek 500 hp but dont take my advice cuz thats just what ive heard!

sorry dude gotta bitch out yet again, that weekend is memorial day weekend and i will be in nags head - north carolina starting that friday, but the following is a def if you wanna take it back. i'm starting to sound like a broken record...

went down to the machine shop with ryan today to see if we could get the damn control arms, but more excuses excuses... they promissed that we would have all the parts and block back by next wednesday, so we could assemble the motor and we are waiting on those control arms to put the truck back on the ground.

went by denbigh toyota today and picked up my $100 cat back for my beater, that parts shop is great, where else can you walk into a toyota dealership and see a picture of a mustang hanging?

The results are in.

8.5 lbs of boost at 6200 rpm = 475 rwhp .....OMFG!
Taking it to the drag tomorrow night.
I was worried about it being more than 450, but Brent said it was safe and I don't live on the rev limiter, so I'm hoping she stays together.
