Funny story, NOT

I just finish installing my new suspension with a Watts link. Works like a charm. I took the car up to a parking lot in the middle of the woods in an abandoned county hospital center around 7 last night to just throw it around a little before I went to the track to really throw it around. Was there about 5 mins and was about to leave when 4 local police show up. The sergant didn't want to hear anything. I have 2 cops in my family too. Gave me a ticket for reckless driving with a court appearance and said that most likely I will loose my licience for 90 days. Nice ending to a wonderful Sat. Back to the bank again to pay the lawyer. But the suspension works great. Anyone that likes the twisties, get a Watts link!

that sucks dog. maybe you should have told them that you pay their salary and are for that matter their boss and if they want to keep their job they should leave you alone. try that next time and let me know how it woks.

Yeah, or DON'T do that so you can keep your car next time. Maybe explain to the judge at your court appearance that you had just done some automotive work and wanted to ensure that everything was in working order. You chose a VACANT parking lot to test for mechanical failure before taking it onto a PUBLIC roadway where a mechanical failure could have cost lives. Further proof of your devotion to public safety is exemplified by your willingness to race at a track rather than public roads.

See if that might work...that's how I'd do it....

You're all correct. I don't have much to try on this one other than to try to get on the judges' good side. Beleive me, I would have loved to tell the cop where to go but most likley I would have lost my car, been arrested to tresassing or something like that. I also found out that the cop is just a prick. Treats everyone like shit. Tomorrow I will see what my attorney says and go from there. Just more money out of my pocket.

yeah i was not at all serious in saying that. trying to keep lite of the situation for ya. all depends on the judge at this point. my buddy was doing like 18 over the speed limit and went to court without an attorney to try and get it dropped to 14 so it would drop the points. he told the judge i take full responsibility of what i did. i was unfamiliar with the area. i just got out of the navy and had moved so i didnt know the speed limit was 35. the judge showed no quarter. gave him the same punishment as if he had mailed the ticket in. lol. he went out an hired an attorney afterwards. lol. i will have to ask him how it turned out.
