Gears upgrade, should i go with 4.10s?I just ordered my dual exhaust conversion kit and the GT rear bumpers take off...woohoo ....now i am gonna be upgrading gears and i was wondering if i should go with 3.73s or 4.10s. I read the article on MM about the debate between the two but i am still not sure. I am planning to S/C in future (way in the future) and i guess 4.10s is thye way to go. But do you think the 7.5" rear end is strong enough for 4.10s right now without the S/C?

the 7.5 rear end sucks. the reason for your question is simple. you lose more power if your an auto and the gears make up for it and you can't really control your shift points as well as a 5spd can. |

I get the part about the difference between auto and stick. I guess the best i can do for the shift points would be to get a really good tune....

the amount of TQ you put to it will. just don't run on slicks and you'll be fine. |
