Along with 8 coils and 8 injectors. In order to make room they did away with the distributor and carburator. I had a 66 FB and was tired of tuning every Monday and Thursday to drive Fri thru Sun ... not to mention the burned valves and weak rings.

Now say it with me ... WTF

Not to sound condescending, but do you no know the difference between an OHV overhead valve (the cam being in the block, above the crank actuating pushrods that actuate the rocker arms that actuate the valves), and an SOHC single overhead cam (one cam in each head actuating the cams, and DOHC dual or double overhead cam (2 cams in each head vice on, typically with a high valve per cylinder count). AND there are even "hybrids" where a SOHC will still have the cam in the block actuating either the intake or exhaust valves just like an OHV engine but still have overhead cams doin the other valves. There are even more variations on engine designs those are just the most common.

do you relize what you just said.
First off the mods are a Single over head cam and the 2,3,4 are the numbers of of valves per a cylinder not cams

you are wrong, the cobra has 4 cams, 2 in each head. One cam operates the 2 intake valves in each cylinder and the other cam operates the 2 exhaust valves in each cylinder. Hence the Dual Over Head Cam, 4 total. Thats not all that crazy either, there is and Opel that has 6 valve per cylinder, and some other car whose manufacturer I cant remeber now has quadruple over head cams, thats right 4 cams per head 8 total in the car. Now thats amazing, imagine the size and complexity of that engine.

it's simple.

a Terminator.

4 cams total.

2 in each head

4 valves per cylinder.

8 cylinders.

which equals 32valve DOHC v8

it's either a single cam per head or 2 cams per head.
