they sounded great! barely any drone, nice rumble @ idle but screamed when you got on it, not too quiet and not too loud, sounded just right!

I have Flowmaster american thunder's on my 07 GT and you can't get a better sound in my opinion...not too aggresive but noticable when you walk on it! I love them.

uhh.....there's no real HP gains with ANY axleback exhaust kit bro......

the new exhaust, you change the axleback, all your doing is changing the sound.

too busy reading the fine print on the borla website. there is NO GAIN on a catback or axleback exhaust. all your doing is changing the sound! in order to gain power from an exhaust, you would have to convert to longtube headers or change the midpipe. plain and simple.

10-12HP my ass......

Have you guys looked in the JBA line of headers and exhausts for the 05+ GT .....they do axle back, cat back, shorties and Long tube headers along with mid pipes to go with the long tubes

the older mustangs may have gained 10-12 horses on a catback exhaust, but not the new ones. Ford did their homework on the new mustang!

Dont you guys realize that your exhaust can actually have too little restriction or backpressure, which in the case of our cars which arent race cars can be harmful to the powerband, more so torque than the hp. Also regency the chambers in the flowmaster mufflers are designed to increase the scavenging effect of the exhaust system while still maintaining an appropriate amount of back pressure. Flow throughs have their place with their fans as far as sound goes, but its a pretty consistent opinion around here that NO muffler for these cars really increases performance.

i still like my bassani. i dont like the flows they arent deep enough. bassani ABs arent too loud and they dont drone alot. give them a look before you buy the flows.

After reading multiple sites about the exhaust ive read about ford doing theyre homework and mufflers not gaining anything. I'm not changing them for the horsepower factor, just want something a bit louder. Its hard to hear the stock ones with the radio turned up. I want that old school sound. For the power adder i was thinking about going with a whipple in august. Still want to enjoy her stock for a couple more months

I was looking at Bassani but i didn't feel like paying the price tag for them. I'm happy with flowmasters right now. The right tip on my SLP exhaust was rattling really bad so i canned them, i wasn't to happy w/the drone that came with them i drive a lot of highway so that constant humming noise along w/the rattle drove me nuts.
