Mr. Freeze

Does anyone out there have one of these kits on their stang? If you do, does it make a difference in HP or is this just another scam.

Unless you are boosted it will not do anything for you...It is a chemical intercooler...

Mr. Freeze is a water/methanol injection kit that lowers the temperature of your s/c or t/c. This is supposed to give you another 90 hp at the rear wheels with 93 octane. Is there something to this?

Yeah it will if you have forced induction on your car...

But me personally I would rather use an intercooler rather then having to depend upon a chemical being pumped into your intake...Becuase if that tank goes empty that supplies the methonal injection then you are out of an intercooler and possibly in some trouble...

boost coolers work with or without s/c and turbo and for gas or diesel. it can also be used in addition to intercoolers. look into the boost cooler @ snowperformance.net, i dont know about mr. freeze but the guys on the tech forum know everything about their products and answer question asap. windsheild washer fluid makes 91 octane the equv. of 120 octane.(scientificly supported). so if you wanted to use 87 octane to save money on fuel and use water/meth injection($1.25 washer fluid) it would be like using 116 octane. it also improves fuel milage too. inpressive. i know i sound like a salesman but it worth looking into. i have it myself so i can vouch for its claims.

Negative on the windshield washer fluid turning your 91 into 120...Not true in anyway shape or form...

First off you dont spray windshield washer fluid into the intake...You spray a mixture of meth/water...Not washer fluid...

BOOST COOLER will do little of nothing without a car with forced induction or high comp engines (for the money that is)...

Snow Performance

You cna read it right on the site tha it is not windshieled washer fluid...

Clicky for N/A Apps

Stage 2 N/A

In all reality this wont do $hit for a stock engine...Nothing worth the money at least...What they are talking about is high compression engines which the 4.6 is not stock...Its a waste for someone with a bolt-on mustang...If you are using it to gain fuel economy go and look at hos much that $hit will cost you to mix...

With forced induction you are going to get decent gains...But like I said I would just save up and do a real intercooler...But with a roushcharger this might work perfect for you...

hey chris, no offense to you but if you can read you can see that ww fluid with a rating of at least 20 below can be injected directly into the intake. ww fluid has a mix of meth and water, so most ww fluids are 40% meth and the best ratio to use is 50/50, big deal. then figure worst case senerio ww fluid makes 91 octane 100 (at least) or better for just 1.25 a gallon. so wally to answer your question i have a s/c on my car also, and yes you can tell the differance. yes the most power can be made with a tune but then if you run out fluid it could pose a problem. what i did was not use a tune so if i ran out or diden't feel like using the mixture i was covered. like i said check out the snow performance web site a decide for yourself, cant hurt to check it out and ask them some questions. by the way i use it in addition to my intercooler, most intercoolers are only 50% to 65% efficent anyway.

If all else fails, most windshield washer fluids are up to 40% Methanol and 58% water. Although most contain some glycol and detergent(less than 1%), most windshield washer fluids are up to 40% methanol. Try to find one that indicates "contains methanol" and is rated to -20ºf.
They dont recommend running washer fluid...They say ti will work in a pinch but is not as effective...

Personally I say do it right and get an intercooler...Chemical intercoolers are great but they are what $300 plus shipping? I bought my intercooler and all the piping for $400...

If your using it without a tune all you are doing is keeping the car from pulling timing...Still if your tank goes dry during a hard pull then it will drop on its face...

Meth Injection IMHO is a great quick fix but people should think twice about using it long term...
