How much HP is typically gained from installing an offroad x pipe? how about with or without a tune?

I know on my old 03 Mach1 gains were around 6-9 rwhp but that is a completely different motor...

Warning: You Will Lose Low End Torque!!! but it makes up for it in the mid to high range

First, off you do not need to tune for an H or X pipe. The stock ECU measures backs pressure and "knows" what the exhaust scavenging is all by itself. As for HP gains...just from the addition of an H pipe? You mean without cats? Neglible at best by itself.

An offroad H pipe doesn't required a tune, HOWEVER, if he has a tuner, he will need to utilize it to turn off the rear o2 sensors for after several miles a CEL can come on. If he does not have a tuner, then he will need to buy a set of MIL Eliminators that plug into the plus of the o2 sensors into thinking the car still has cats.

and a typical offroad pipe you see between 8-10hp.
