Ordered mine online. Autolite HT0's. Be ready to spend about 9-10 bucks a plug....

Advance Auto actually carries a pretty nice line of plugs...
I know I drive a 99-04 and not one of the S197s...But I get mine at Advance Auto and they are resonable...But in now way cheap... |

Okay...why? Their website is put together well, they have decent prices, and my shit was sent out to UPS the day I ordered it...seems to me they're doing just fine. You have a bad experience with them? If so, do tell...explain to my why I'm not in my right mind...

That's cool, I appreciate the lookout...is there a link on this forum to the horor stories? The only thing I've read about on here is some dude (don't remember his handle off the top of my head) who tries to sell parts on this forum that never get delivered...nothing about RPM outlet...I dunno. IF the stuff gets here like I ordered it, and it's on time, etc, I'll be sure to let you guys know!

RPM Outlet is apparently nothing more than a dude named Alan. He has been banned from this site. Do an RPM Outlet search on this site and you'll see a lot of criticism and a lot of allegations of overt fraud.

I just checked out the Vendors post for RPM Outlet...looks like mixed reviews. Some love them, some hate them...fingers crossed, I guess...I've ordered a lot of stuff from them in the last 3 days...and that socalmustang sounds familiar...I've never seen people attack someone like what he gets every time he shows up...

Yeah Alan was not with RPM Outlet...
RPM Outlet has been a pain to several people on this site...Customer Service Sucks, Shipping Sucks, among other things... I know a few of my friends that have been screwed over by them...Me personally I had one bad run-in with them...I ordered a Plenum from them...I then waited 2 weeks with no response from them although they had taken the money the next day after I placed the order...So I asked to have it canceled becuase I could not wait any longer so I boguht a plenum off ebay...They ended up emialing me almost a month later saying my plenum had shipped... I got it about a week later...So it took almost 2 months for me to get a part that should have been less then a week... I sold the plenum on ebay and wiped my hands with RPM Outlet... I am not going to sit here and say they will rip you off or any of that jazz...They just wont ever see another dime from me... |

put it this way. I wouldnt be suprised if RPM outlet sent you the wrong spark plugs, and then you would be having a nightmare to send them back, to get the right ones. Or, if they dont have your plugs, you'll have a hard time getting your money back, either not getting it @ all or getting a portion of it, AFTER they charge you the 20% restocking fee to put the wrong plugs they sent you back on their shelf.

holy hell. $10 a spark plug. kind of makes the $1.88 for a NGK TR6 plugs that i use quite nice.
Advance Auto has the auto lite hto in stock most of the time. you tend to have to ask them for the specific plug that you want. don't tell them what car ou drive, just the plug you want. I went in to one here and asked for the ngk tr6 for my 04 mustang gt and after looking at the computer for spark plugs for an 04 mustang gt, the numbnut said they didn't have those for my car. so, instead of arguing I just went to another store where the guy wasn't a programmed dumbass and got them.

Grabber,
Almost every instance of a bad experience at RPM outlet revolves around returns. In that statement we encompass the following: Lack of response 20% charge for a part that was not right (not buyers fault) after jumpimg through hoops on their return process, lack of refund. My personal experience was the following: Ordered a pillar pod in December, arrived at my house. It was the item I ordered. I changed my mind and went with a different product. Did all the requested things, got a return authorization number, packed the item, sent back. Waited a month, still no return of funds. Emailed, called and left message. No return via either message after 2 weeks. Sent and called again, waited another 2 weeks and nothing. Sent again, I'm still waiting.. It's been 7 months and no refund, not even a partial with the 20% restock held. I can't even hold a live conversation. Now, I'm only out 80 bucks. Others here on this very site have ordered far larger ticket items and got jammed with the wrong part and then went through this ignoring thing RPM does. Bottom line, if it's something quick and easy, generally it's okay. If you have to return for any reason, your better off selling on ebay at a discount..
