Gauges aren't completely necessary if you have a good tune.

I prefer knowing what is going on with my engine. The tune from JDM has gotten good press in this forum but you never know when something might go off.

Fuel pressure, boost, air/fuel. EGT if ya got room someplace. Autometer makes a full pillar 2 or 3 pod for our cars.

Maybe I'm a smacked ass, but when I'm getting on it hard with a s/c I don't have time to look at the guages because the road is goin by so fast.

Autometer Nexus has datalogging capability...some other manufaturers do too...they'll record and show you the whole run during playback or do peak/hold so you can see what the max reading was...helpful for boost gauge or EGT when tuning for turbos...pretty sweet...makes tuning a breeze...Some people like to peek over and see that everything's going well between shifts.

sc gages

Thanks for all the input, i failed to mention that this is a daily driver that will probably never see the track but I want to know that when I am on it that everything is as it should be. Never having run a SC where does the vaccuum issue come in?
