i never look over my shoulder either, because now you have a blind spot where its the most dangerous which is right in front of you. if you were driving in back of someone and you look back to change lanes and for the split second the person if front of you were to slam their brakes KABOOM now you piss in a tube for the rest of your life if you lucky

If the split second it takes you to check your blind spot causes you to rear end someone, you're following too closely.

I still can't find the bloody blind spot... When I only see half of the car beside me on the mirror, the other half is at my door...

You won't have to find it. It'll find you one of these days. Every car has blind spots.

Sit in the car in normal driving position and have a buddy walk around the car about 10 ft away. Take a note all of the places you can't see him.

Being a safety professional in the oil and gas industry, I have been through a lot of safety training on driving. One of the most interesting ones was pointing out how much you are really blind to when in the "Cockpit".

Mainly for just getting into the vehicle or just getting moving, you wouldn't believe the area around the car/truck that a small child could freely move around the vehicle without you being able to see him/her. It is really an eye opener.

well, if anything, the silverhorse louvers are my best chance. not only do they look good because there flush, you can also see through them. the only problem is that they might leak because your replacing the window...

Go with the Roush louvers. I made sure to check my blindspots through them today... you can see just fine through them because of the way they are angled. Roush knew what they were doing... and their the best looking louvers for the S197 IMHO.

On a sidenote, my car has nearly been smacked plenty of times because of idiots who don't check their blind spots. Sometimes I can outrun them before they hit, other times I brake and honk at them. One time some bozo was coming in from another street and didn't yield like he was supposed to. Apparently he didn't see check his blind spot either and almost smashed me. I honked at him and then the bastard honked back at me as if it was MY fault! UGH!! Some people just really anger me.

Moral of the story... check your blind spot.

I personally don't like the silverhorse louvers...I agree with Victoria and the Roush Louvers look the best on our cars, maybe the Cervini's scoop if you don't want to see out of your quarter window.

But from what I've heard the silverhorse's don't leak if they are installed right, but people have complained that your vision is distorted looking through them because it's Lexan and not glass. They've also had issue with painting them (paint shop not knowing where to stop painting or something of that nature) Until you have seen the silverhorse and roush louvers side by side in person, don't jump to a decision yet.

Indeed. However, and I'm not trying to be obtuse here, lol, but DO THIS!!

You will never have to look through your quarter windows again. I promise you. Blind spot elminated. Period.

It's your car, and your wellbeing brother. I'm only speaking from 24 years of driving, 19 years of professional driving, and over 1 million miles of experience. So what do I know. lol

The blind spot on a 1970 mach 1 twice as long as the new cars. thats why the rear glass is almost horizontal. beautiful car by the way. I had a 1970 302 boss with a major blind spot.
