its like that castrol commercial "an 8 cyclinder symphony playing the tune your right foot tells them to" and it shows a guy sitting in a 96-98 cobra revving the engine in his garage after changing the oil. it was a good commercial. |

I used windows media player to burn all mine and they work just fine. Go with the memorex discs, I use those and never have any problems with them

Guys when you put in a cd data file which will hold about 150 songs, hit menu and it will say TRACK MODE, push the up button by the cd slot and then it will say FOLDER MODE, it will then play burnt CD's and when you want to play a regular cd you have to put it back in track mode.

Last time I used a MP3 CD, I just put it in and it worked, along with 5 normal disks on the other slots
I have a shaker 1000 and I rarely use the CD's, iPOD + iTrip and 7600+ song FTMFW!!!

Funny thing, the only car I don't get static with my iTrip is my mustang... I don't know why, but is sounds great on my stang, on all the other cars it sounds like shit though.
I want that peripheral adapter, I've been searching for it for a long ass time, appeard on Crutchfield about a month ago, but its pricy as hell. I'm happy with my $50 POS iTrip... The bass is clean too... it impressed me once I used it on the stang. |

i hate it because its impossible to find a clear station and the only place it will get a clear reception is if i put it on the dash where it falls off due to frequent, rapid acceleration
but i think its worth the $150. you have the option of CD quality sound for 10,000+ songs. at least thats how much it is for my iPod video

sony CDR supremas work for me. encoded MP3's using LAME/EAC (variable bit rate), burned data disk with NERO.

When you rip MP3s you have to be careful what you use for the ID3 tag if you want the song title, artist and album information to show correctly on the shaker. The Shaker 500/1000 can only read type ID3V1 tags. Not all rippers allow you to choose the ID3 tag type.
Here's an article I wrote on how to burn CDs for the shaker 500, hopefully it might help although the S/w used may be a bit dated since this was written 2 years ago. http://www.cherod.com/mustang/HowTo/ShakerMP3.htm For other how to articles, go to: http://www.cherod.com/mustang/HowTos.htm |

thanks dude you've been really helpful, but if fixed the problem by going to a different brand of CD-Rs (memorex) and it worked like a charm. this article about the ID3 tags was very informative. i didnt know about that but having the correct artist/song name isn't all that imporant to me but thanks for your help. what else how you written how-to articles on?

I started moddin my mustang 5 minutes after I got it home. I've documented everything I've done to it as well as collected some really useful articles that other people have written. You can check them out at this link
http://www.cherod.com/mustang/HowTos.htm I also have documentation and copies of some pages of the repair manual at this link: http://www.cherod.com/mustang/Manuals.htm I also downloaded and collected mustang commercials and placed them here, its not a complete list but as I find new ones, I post them. Im only doing 2005+, and some vintage stangs http://www.cherod.com/mustang/Commercials/index.htm |
