Tuned for 87 / 91 - Advantages?

I have sct tunes for the different octanes, but am curious as to the advantages of running 91 over 87. Better performance? Economy?

Usually higher octane fuels depending on their ratings have a higher burning speed and a higher required temp for combustion. This produces more power in less time and for forced induction and high horsepower apps which raise operating temps, these fuels won't detonate early within the engine.

no it won't mess up your car. it would be a waste of money to do though. only do the octane you've tuned for. it will mess it up if you do the other way around.
