Shaker 1000Now and then it appears my system quiets down, when I put it at full volume, it gets soft/quiet compared to what it should...any opinions? (i love it LOUD, and it will once in a while, but not like i think it should for a 1,000 watt system) I used to install stereos, so messing with wiring is a no brainer, im just asking to see if anyone knows for sure what to so, before i go through the long process of diving in.

There is no way to adjust the sub volume separately. Are you sure that you aren't experiencing the automatic speed volume deal thingy whatchamacallit?

its on 7!!! the highest itll go. its like its not getting the required voltage. I wonder if the underdrives are affecting it.

It is possible that underdrive pullies can affect a system that is drawing a large amount of amperage, but I highly doubt that the Shaker 1000 can draw enough to make current an issue.
That's not a shot at your stereo, and if you were an installer, you know what I'm saying. If you have a problem where it's fluctuating abnormally, I would take it back to the dealer if you are still under warranty.

37kbut it draws a shitload zip, itll dim the lights very slightly at idle. I switched the plugs, and couldnt tell, and unplugged the amps and re-plugged and such, and it seems to be back at full volume... the amps are 100% sealed, it sucks. its factory. ugh! lol.

I wonder if the shaker 1000 is similar to the shaker 500 I yanked out of mine. There were two 250 watt amps in it that each could fit in the palm of your hand, and were light as a feather. Bleh.
If that factory system is strobing the lights, perhaps the underdrive pullies are an issue. I wonder if a 1 farad capacitor in the system would cure your problem? I run 2200 watts in mine, so u/d's would not be feasible in mine, and I still had to run a 10 farad cap. lol

i had 4 back there, behind the subs.
im thinking of putting two kicker L7s in each corner of the trunk, and a 750 mono on each one, custom built yellow fiberglass boxes...in the taillight corners i mean...angled with the correct figures, it looks awesome on paper. then go with some focal mids and highs, and wow, what a package!

Cool, sounds sweet man
![]() Here's a pic of the trunk work. The interior cosmetic work isn't done yet, so no pics of that for now. lol I'm running a Clarion 1500 mono on two Alpine Type-X 10's, a 640 watt Clarion 4 channel in to the front stage, which consists of two Pioneer 8" shallow mount door subs in place of the factory 8's, and a RF FNQ 6'5" component set, with a Clarion DXZ865 color touch screen head unit. The cap is a Tsunami. Not sure if I'm happy with it yet, as we've had some issues with it.

not bad at all, the type x's are pretty impressive bang for the buck.

Cool. This is my first time going with Alpine, and Clarion amps, for that matter. I'll tell you, every person that has heard the system cannot believe that it's only two 10's in it. lol
I was nervous going with the Clarion, but it was go with them and have more juice, or stay with RF, and spend the same to get far less power. I actually tried a little mono 300 Clarion in my wifes car, running two pro series 12"Kaptions, and when we fired it up, we were suprised. The 1500 mono in the stang is amazing, and would easily toast a lesser sub.

shaker 1000 and stereo upgrade stuff
So the reason that the factory sub is doing that is it basically has a protection circuit in it so it wont hurt itself basically. i am an car stereo installer at Lotts Auto Stereo in santa cruz and see a lot of mustangs and i myself have an 06 gt. i will post pics soon...but i have a Pioneer deh-6800dvd (6 disc dvd changer w/7" touchscreen) hooked up to their p8000 processor going to a rockford power 1000 that i put in the spare tire well along with my sirius module, xm, navigation (pioneer avic88dvd), and a alpine pdx2.150running my front pioneer slim 8" door subs. in the doors i have that and focal 165 k2 powers and the 8" subs where that factory door "subs" were. in the back i have pioneer 520prs seperates and am running a 10w7 in a fiberglass enclosure i made about a year ago. needless to say it sounds amazing and i will post pics soon but heres a link to our latest demo car that my dad and i did (he owns the shop and the car) thats an srt8 cherokee for a pioneer sound buildoff. http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pn...065697,00.html anyways any questions i can help out (this is pretty much all i do haha)[/url]

I have a shaker 1000, its normal that it dims the lights...I don't have any mods on my car... and you should keep the speed volume to 0 or 1-2. When you stop the Volume will decrese, when you accelerate it increases. I keep mine in 1 and I think I'm close to blowing the factory speakers with how loud I put it... and no, I can't compare to any othe 1000watt unit since this is the first car I ever have with a woofer.
I think speed volume @ 7 limits the volume when your idling, I used to have it on 7 and could'nt figure out why the volume dropped so much till I read the Instruction manual. |

You guys should just turn the speed volume off. And I believe you get the stronger battery when you get the Shaker 1000, maybe that was with the upgrade security system.
