Cloning A GT 500 From A V6 Base


what all do you need as far as running parts ?

complete gt500 motor with computer and wiring harness, transmission, clutch, shifter, driveshaft, some rear end work, exhaust,

that looks like it prety much covers it. unless you want the exterior to look like it. then you need:

front fascia
fog lights
headlights
hood
rocker panels
rear fascia
spoiler
badges
stripes
wheels

shit after thinkin about it it would be cheaper to just but the GT500. or just get a GT and build up the motor and create a cosmetic clone.

also suspension, brakes,
that project will put a nice size hole in a wallet

you could just build a bad ass turbo v6
i seen em' smoke GT's

rather than spending the money on all that crap, why not go to Shelby American and purchase their CS6 kit... its like 400 horse (supercharged) with suspension, brakes, and body kit... just a thought...

Shelby clone...thats like putting perfume on a pig....it smells good....but it is still a pig to each his own though i guess?

IMO I would deck out the v6 rather than make a clone. <-- not a fan of clones... But like said before "to each his own"...

A turbo v6 would slaughter most gt's no doubt in my mind.

has been done and theres a whole build up of it on modularfords.com search for it im about to sleep so im lazy and cranky.. if u cant find it i will

that would be stupid to spend all that money just to create a clone, deck out your v6, or sell it and just buy a gt500

With the money your are going ot have totalled up in the car ( inlcuding buying the car ) you could have bought a new SCed rousch or SCed Saleen...
