You need a tuner for most of the small bolt on mods, with 4.10's you will need the tuner to adjust your speedometer, with the CAI you need a tuner because without it your car will go in failsafe mode and not run...go to BAMACHIPS.COM or BRENSPEED.COM they give great Cold air intake and tuner combos with good tunes...XCALIBUR 2 FTW!

Gears, CAI, tuner, and exhaust and do you plan on putting a super charger, turbo or nitrous down the road?

ftmftw? what kind of exhaust would be a good setup? i might like to put a super or turbo in the future, can they be added with other mods without compromising the engine? I looked quick at the chargers on roush and the fordracing site, the roushcharger says it can't/shouldnt be used with other mods it may damage the engine, how true is that or is it just legal bs in case something happens?

For exhaust, there is a lot out there and it is a preference for sound. Check out the exhaust section on here or click . For the most part bolt-ons and superchargers work well together. If you dont plan on it any time soon then dont worry about it. Welcome

hey, welcome to the site. nice looking stang. i love that color. for first mods, i'd go with gears and a tuner first, then exhaust and CAI. for CAI, i highly recommend JLT
http://www.jlttruecoldair.com/ where in NY you from. i grew up in Brooklyn

Hey thanks. I live in hauppauge but I work in queens/bklyn and go to school in brooklyn (polytechnic). What part of brooklyn are you from? Where would I be able to get gears? Does the type of tuner matter much? Can it be used to re-tune if I put additional things on?

Yes the tuner can be updated for al the mods you add to your car. For the exhaust some isnt much louder and some is.It depends on what you go with. What are you looking for?

For the tuner I would go with SCT X-CAL 2, from Doug at Bamachips. As for the mufflers check out the FRPP GT1, they are actually the Borla Stingers with Ford Racing stamped on them and a little cheaper.

Here are some links of what I mentioned. As for an intake go with the JLT from Bamachips with his tunes.
Bamachips JLT cai Ford Racing mufflers
