350z vs. GT

350z: Blue, pro kit lowering, high flow cats, short shifter, j. wolf intake, kinetix intake manifold, udps, drilled and slotted rotors, lightened flywheel, act clutch, and a cute grill.

Me: Black w/ silver stripes, Jlt intake, 93 race tune, o/r h, steeda udp, slp power flo ab., sportline lowering, edelbroch panhard bar

My friend is a serious shit talker and thinks that his car puts down the same numbers as mine and refuses to believe that my car gains 2 to 3X the hp w/ bolt ons.
This is a month after i had got my car and a couple of my friends were at my house and suddenly decided that we should stop the whole arguement and just race. So we spontaneously jump in our cars and race all around the city (not smart but shut up). I beat him everytime but its not very straight forward due to traffic (i was whoopin his ass) So we get on the freeway(i continue to whoop his ass) until we his a straight away headed toward cleveland from columbus. So we drop back to about Sixty and on the third honk gun it. I couldnt help myself but to start the race up with a little tire burning on the freeway by dropping it into 2nd.(3.31) So I walked away from him like it was a joke. It was straight forward and noone missed a gear or could say they had a bad launch. By the time i reached 100 he was a good four car lengths behind me 125-7to8 1409to10 1601/4 mile YES 160! i decided to scare the living piss out of my passenger. That was the fastest tthe friend in my car had ever gone and man was he scared. To tell you the truth i was scared too i just didnt tell anyone our liver were on the line. What im trying to get at is GT>350z

What do you mean by "2 to 3X the hp", Mike?

Some of those Z's are quick. If you check the history of them, Nissan made quite a few different versions of them, and some had different power levels, and some weighed more than others. Usually though, between two even drivers, a GT will edge out the Z. Nice kill

good kill...but 350z's are damn near the worst car to mod! its pretty much pointless...he probably got about 10-15whp out of all those mods and spent around $2,500 for all that crap

Gotcha.

Import and other guys can argue, and slam Mustangs all they want. But, the bottom line is, the Mustang has been selling like crazy for a few reasons. And one of those reasons is how incredibly well the car responds to mods.

the point is nissan pulled alot more horsepower out of the VQ than ford did with ours thats why they respond so well to bolt ons

exactly, it goes something like this japanese cars use smaller higher reving engines that are more efficient and more technological than american cars. For waht it seems is that with american engines they dont want to bother with high revingand high compression moving parts so they just say make it bigger and feed it more fuel and air and call the job done thats why we drive the big bad unreliable beasts.

So far, lee.

Mine has had a few problems. I've had the clutch pack replaced in the rear end, the fuel pump was done today, and I've had endless ongoing problems with my brakes that the dealer can't seem to rectify.

what was it and how old? any by the way the mustang is an exception. Ford built this car with the though in mind that the redneck owners(me) would beat the living shit out of it and that why the handle boost so well and also have a rearend for a car with 400whp
