MGW Shifter arrived today... WOW!

In anticipation of my Whipple (that is stuck in Canada Customs!), I ordered up a MGW short shifter to help get the power to the pavement.

It arrived today. 2 hours later it's IN. WOW!

I used jackstands to put it in, which meant I was clambering around with very little clearance but it wasn't that bad.

Just came back from my maiden voyage and holy crap is all I can say! :award

It does feel a tad notchy...maybe it's just me? Or maybe it needs a break in period?

The shifts are precise though. It's set to 50% so there is sure not a lot between 1/2/3/4/5!!!

yea, it seems like all the shifters need some kind of a break in. My Steeda certainly did, jus give it time and you'll turn it into butter.

glad you like the shifter, I want one on mine but I have more important mods to do first.

By the way, a shifter doesn't help put power to the ground :wink

I know, not technically speaking...but you can get between gears faster, that's what I meant.

I absolutely hated my short throw the first day i got it, but after like a week it really did become like butter.

This is good news, as I have been thinking of getting this shifter. Glad you like it, and thanks for passing the good news on man.

Got it. Sorry, been a long day. I started my last shift at midnight, drove back from Montreal, got to Sarnia about 6:30 am, left work at 8 am after vacuuming the car inside, got home around noon, washed the car to get it ready for a two day show they have here every year, and hit the show around 4, only to have it start raining around 6:30. @!(*$!#!!

Supposed to be clear tomorrow, other than the fact I have to detail the car all over again. Scored a few pics, and a sound clip of this ridiculously badass sounding Nova, which I'll toss up in Pictures in a sec. Hopefully I'll have a bunch of pictures tomorrow. They usually have 4-500 cars lining our main street here, with a live rock & roll band playing.

As for that link...... all I can say is :O & wow. I had been wondering how those would look on my black car, as if would it be too much black. I think that answer my question. *bookmarked*

Thanks man
