basic engine degreaser works.

as far as detailing it...

avoid anything with petroleum solvents or silicone oils.

Make sure you cover the PCM & do not soak the coil packs. Cover them with plastic & tape the plastic up. Also try and avoid soaking the alternator. Our alternators are sensitive bitches. Like me.

for degreaser, something like Simple green I thinks its called. and like armor all for detailing.

and cover up the fuse box and PCM.

I've also heard of using like one of those bug sprayers that you pump up.

do you reccomend any particular brands?

Once I get mine clean, I then try and keep it clean using Meguiars detailing spray on the fenderwells & firewall & other exposed painted surfaces. Then I use Armor All Gel on a rag to shine up the.....things that can be made shiny. Don't lay it on thick, it will attract dust like a mofo. Just squirt a bit on a rag and spread it around.

On my old Mach, I would cover the intake, battery, and fuse boxes.

Spray greased lightning on everything and let that sit for a while, then gently hose everything down. Then I would crank up the leaf blower and blow dry it :wink

I think those STS turbo systems are way to complicated, with all the pipes runing back aand forth under the car. I like the second one better.

I'd take the second on too, unless they realese there TT kit and isn't as complicated as the STS one.

STS turbo systems are crap, a mutang tuner here in town hates to even install them. And to add to it, they perform worse than they look!

I've never hosed down any of my engines. I get in all the grooves and crevices by hand.
