please do....

now for this original post. the whole idea in a burnout before you drag is to warm up the tires so you dont spin out. warm tires=sticky. now you can over heat a street tire to where it does not perform as well as it could at a lower temperature. thats the whole reason why there are test and tune nights at most tracks. try it with out a burnout then try it with a burnout. experiment.

i dont necessarily think it works like that on regular street tires because street tires dont really get sticky but its good to do a lil burnout just to clean the tires but hey i could be wrong

My nitto DR's are very finicky. It took a while to get the burnout perfected because I would eithe not make em warm enough, or liquidate the damn things.

I've found that a quick 2 to 3 second spin, then a dry hop on my way to staging make my dr's absolutely perfect off the line.

With street tires, things are different. Don't go in the water box, avoid the thing altogether. Don't go doing a John Force burnout with them either, they will not hook. Small to medium burnout then put her on the line.

Let us know how it turns out...

usually the drag car's with slicks need it to get the big ole tires spinning, and need a little help, you can drive around it usually, but sometimes they spray the whole burn out box entrance with it and you have to run through it

I dont knwo about anywhere else but in indy the track mang. is anal about street tries getting anywhere near the wet box, cause the water gets in your tred and slings water all down the track.
