04 Lightning Motor
i was just wondering how that would be cause my brother which has the lightning nd is getting a new short block from jdm soon. Hey said he will give me his motor with the blower.

If I'm not mistaken, it is just an iron block 2V 5.4. I say keep the 3V. Do you have any other vehicles besides the stang?

no im pretty sure its a three valve and no its my only car. Im only 16 i dont kno a sixteen year old with two cars

I had two cars when I was 16. I had an 81 baby blue volvo DL and a 88 GT. Not to brag, but it does happen ( no Im not a mommas boy I worked my ass off to have the mustang )

The lightning engine is a 2 valve 5.4 SOHC. It will take a bit of work to get it into your 3 valve. Dimension wise it will be ok, you will need a new hood and possible may have to fab an extra motor mount or two but as far as the computer goes....I'. assuming your brother won't be giving you his ecu. Therefore you will have a 2valve engine with a 3 valve computer.
This could be a bigger headache then you are ready for. My suggestions... 1) Sell the motor when he gives it to you (not before because that may cause some conflict) ![]() 2) Buy a 1996 2 valve and cram that Triton in there!!! Just my .2 cents Cooper
