Cat and Tune ??

I have a tune installed right now for no cats. If I put cats back on the car will I have to get a different tune? I'm kinda looking to quiet down the car a bit. being this loud was nice for a while but now im looking for a quieter cleaner sound.

no, the tune is just to turn off the rear 02 sensors so it won't throw a code. The car won't know if it has cats or not.

I hear the new ford tauruses have a nice clean quiet sound... J/k you'll be fine with the current tune like red said.

you might want to try just re-installing the stock mufflers. many people seem to do that with the off-road pipes. it would be much easier than doing the cats

With my set up the cats are much easier to put in. the mufflers are welded in because I could never get a good seal from them. Also I really like the sound of the violator mufflers over the stockers.

Has anyone ever seen this video..

http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...46482213742032

It is the blow-by racing mustang. Do you think they got this sound from just a cam shaft change. I know there is different exhaust b/c it is the side exhaust. But it really has that classic sound from the 60's

Well originally I had purchased the pypes x pipe, but it didn't fit right. after them sending me 2 replacements which also didn't fit right I decided to just cut the top part off the x pipe and the cats off the stock pipe. I then put the top of the x pipe on the bottom of the stock H pipe using a piece of connecting pipe and 2 clamps and voila...homade H Pipe
