You may be right manowar..difficult...Update: the dealer contacted roush..they wanted pictures so they took them...Roush then, aftr seeing pictures wanted proof that it was a roush WTF..it says ROUSH in big letters which were in the pictures. The dealer then sent the copies of the original invoice and all the numbers and told me there should be no way that it isn't covered. I feel a little better knowing the dealer is on my side and that I counted the roushes on the lot...12 at the current time + 2 gt's with roushchargers. If they do weasel out of it somehow I agree with Redfire and will be switching to whipple or keene bell or perhaps a lawyer who will enforce this wrongful death.

You would be so much happier with the KB or Whipple. Just thing what 75 more hp would feel like
Thats what it would be going of of the 374 you posted in the other thread.

Big sigh of relief! Got word today that the Roush warranty will cover me and the new s/c is being shipped today. I ordered the smaller pulley so the 2 more lbs of boost will definately make me feel better about the wait. I'm hoping this will push me over 400rwhp. Seems like a nice milestone to shoot for.

Thanks Hmusn. I have a question to throw out. Does anyone think I should be checking into bigger injectors while it's torn down or would they not be necessary in that horsepower range? I think someone said the stock are fine till up over 475 hp.

Congrats on them covering it. I've got a Roush and I've never had a problem with them covering warrantied products. The basic reason I went with a Roush S/C versus a Whipple or something else is because I got a 7 year 70,000 mile warranty on the entire powertrain including te s/c. That way if anything happens while I break the motor in they can replace it.
Then once I've got miles on it, I'll retune and replace with a ProCharger or Vortech. |

Pastor, I was told the Roush warranty was still only 36 months even though the power train was longer on the new ones. Hope you're right. I would also reccomend the pulley to you it is a noticeable difference in the feel and sound of it. When I get to the dyno again I'll let you know how much difference it made. Norm

Norm,
Please let me know what the difference was. I'm really interested. I actually hit it at the right time. They were offering an extended warranty of 7 years on the powertrain at the time I bought mine. I even got a 2K cash back rebate and great financing from my bank on top of the X plan I get on the car. God was blessing me the day I went in to check this one out. I'm hoping to do the pulley upgrade, the strut tower brace, and the new gauge pod from Speed of Sound while she's in the garage for the winter. |
