Trade in 03 GT Vert for 07 GT?

Ok so I own a 2003 GT Vert (which is awesome very low miles 9,000. But I got it at blue book which was 20,000. The thing is I get special Ford discounts through my job and can get a 2007 GT for 23,000. Brand spanking new. (I was unaware of the special discount I got through my job when I got my '03) Well I am looking on line and I am confused on what the differenc between the GT Deluxe and GT Premium is. Please help. I think the trade in would be an awesome idea. Also any feedback suggestions or input would be appreciated.

it doesnt really show a difference as far as specs. everything is the same. Would the difference be like rims, etc? I would assume all 07 mustang GTs deluxe or premium would have same options like power everything right?

oh i see just different sound system and seats. and rims optional. is that all? I mean 2500 just for sound and seats is that really worth it?

Premium also gives you the option of dash trim and the aluminum dress-up on the steering wheel and shifter as well as the heated leather seats, and the sound system. I think it's worth it, it's not as spartan and boring as the GT500's interior.

07 options,Wow that's a vague question!Manual comes with 3:31 gear,3:55 optional,Auto 3:31 only,Exterior upgrade=Hoodscoop,Spoiler,Rolled exhaust tips,Engine cover.Interior has many ,My 07 GT had Cloth seats,Bright dash aluminum,Standard stereo(sucks),Leather wraped steering wheel,Part of interior upgrade on deluxe.Then you have premium,Leather seats,Heated or not,Active anti theft,Shaker 500 or 1000,Side airbags or not.Lots of wheel options also.Better get what you can if it's a leftover 07,Cause there aren't many out there!You need an 07 brochure because the option packages changed this year.Good luck!

I completely think the premium is worth it. dawg, I also get a discount from Ford due to them being a customer of my employer. I can tell you that I absolutely love my 07. It's a blast to drive, handles nice, and has that nice tight, solid feeling.

Problem is I like the New Edge cars as well. Maybe you should keep the low mile vert AND buy the new S197.

(I'm not trying to put you in the poor house, but hey it's easy to spend other people's money. lol)

the single one option that i got and have actually never seen on another car is the stitched dash. it looks so much better than the standard plastic (or whatever it is). the one that i would absolutely not recommend getting is the shaker 1000. come on $1300 for 2 ten's amplified....that is outrageous. i've heard the system and was completely underwhelmed. i could go to walmart and spend a couple hundred on the cheap cheap crap and sound that good or maybe better

I disagree Bob. I have the Shaker 1000 and it is awesome for a stock system. I love it. Luis_GT also has the 1000, and he will agree that it rocks.

I wouldn't get the 3.55 gear option, I would get the 3.31s and save the money for some 4.10s

everyone has their own opinions and that was just mine. if you all are happy with it then excellent for you. i just couldn't imagine spending that much for what i heard. for the same price i could have doubled the sound and quality and had a complete custom box.

But it sounds good, and is neatly tucked in the right corner. It still retains most of the trunk space. Granted it can't hold a candle to a system like Zip's.

Not too sure what kind of discount your employer is offering, I was able to get my 07 GT brand new at 22,600 after the factory rebates and negotiating. I have the deluxe package though, all the extra add ons I saw didn't impress me much, and I can get a better sound system than the shaker for much less. I've had no complaints about my base package GT.
