from the ford dealer yeah and i hope they don't say 500 cuz ill do it myself if it costs that much thats bullshit. I know how to do it and have done it before but would rather have it done professionally. 350 sounds pretty reasonable but 500 is steep hahaha

if it were a 4 speed, 3.73's would be the way to go auto. I have 4.10s, and notice better in town mileage, and a tad lower highway, mostly because of my tune.

gears
Take it from one who has wasted alot of money changing things back and forth. If your going to leave it n/a and have a manual with stock height tires go 4.10. If a turbo or s/c is in the future leave in the 3.55. I found out that turbo 285 35-18 drag radials and 4.10 gears are to much for the street. Its on the verge of not being fun to drive on the interstate. The guys making turbos will tell you to run the stock gears. If you wont the feel of a old muscle car with 4.11 gears and a 3spd auto the go for my old combo.

I'd go 4.10's if you plan on staying NA.. If you plan on a Supercharger or turbos in the future then do not go over 3.73

Well, let me ask this then:
I realize that 4.10's are pretty much the accepted gear to use if you are N/A but, What if you aren't going to be taking it to the track or doing any "serious" drag raing? I have the 3.31's (not sure how those slipped into the car) and I am definitely going to beef them up asap, but my car is more of a daily driver/weekend toy and all I relaly need is enough gitupandgo to put the average ricer in their place etc. So, wouldn't 3.73's be sufficient? Seems like 4.10's pretty much eliminate the need for 1st gear. :-)

haha yeah i would put 3.73's for good overall performance your going to see a HUGE difference from 3.31's...the 08 Bullitt has 3.73's stock and Ford says thats where the biggest performance difference is

This is actually a great thread. Thanks for working it up!
Gearing was actually the last mod I would've ever thought to do up until a few nights ago when I read this, and something in 5.0 mag also mentioned to go to 4.10s. I'm still not sure which gears either, though haha
