3 Gear To 2

3 Gear To 2

This happen to me tonight when i was racing a 5.0...It was a good race we ran twice i got him each time. The guy said he had intake and exhaust. On the second race when i was going to fourth it went to second. So im just wondering what can cause this.. Thank You

Are you sure that you didnt accidentally shift to 2nd? We all make mistakes, it's nothing to be embarrased about. I have never heard of that happening and don't think it is physically possible for the car to try and engage in second gear with the shifter in the 4th gear position....

Did you do what procharger did and accidently shift into second? Or did you mean the stick was in the 4th gear position and it engaged into second?

the vidis in the thrid to second post on the first page I rowed into second instead of forth...it sucked....i did it at 5500 rpm

Yea i think i might of tryed to shift to fast for myself and put it second instead of fourth...do u think i did any damage to my car???

dunno mine is fine....but it slid right in and locked up the tires.....bad!

Not if you took it out of second quickly

i think i did pretty good in the vid....I wont win any awards for super coolness or anything...im surprized i didint utter profanaties!

well mine just made the tires squeak for a second then i put the clutch in right away

mine squeaked allright......then the engine said....what in the holy F**K are you doin????? then i put in 4th and the engine was happy again

6200 ish..the rev limiter didint kick in and its set at 6300

Mines set 6500 and didnt go on either and mine went to 7000

a lot of the time, when people race, they dont think to slightly push toward the passenger seat to hit 4th.
that will keep you from hittin 2nd, as the common, instinctive reaction is to pull toward you slightly, trying to shift quicker...
