I agree with being forged, that would be badeace!

Turbo on a mustang? Dont make me throw up. I do agree with you though. GM is the one who will be catching up. Bigger displacement is not the future, and gm is way begind when is comes to ovc engines. With emisions and gas milaege standards Ford is on the right track With the 4.6.

Not traditionally muscle car-ish, but GM is making turns to release some common-rail, bi-turbo, diesel engined vehicles over the next year or two. They're licensing the blu-tec emissions washing technology from Mercedes along with BMW to make the emissions 50-states legal.

Don't laugh at those turbo diesels - the one BMW is putting in their 335d puts out 284 bhp and 427 lbs/ft of torque. The peak torque is hit at under 2000 rpms. The upshot? The thing gets a combined city/highway mileage of 37mpg.

When these diesels were released in Europe, three years later over 60% of all cars sold were turbo-diesels. When this ball gets rolling in the US, I wouldn't doubt Ford'd have a way to make a Mustang with big engine posting big numbers - inlcuding mpg. It may take them a year to play catch up - but when GM and Chrysler are doing it with the Camero and Challenger in three years....

The only downside I can see is I haven't seen any of the bi-turbo diesels with a manual transmission yet. Not sure why.

That's still a few years off and I'm not certain cars like the 05+ Mustang can be anything other than what they are right now. They just seem so damn right.

They drive diesels in Europe because fuel is now over $2 a litre. They are quick and they are getting better all the time but they still sound like taxis and they still don't have very good power characteristics with narrow power bands. Personally, I hate them but they are getting good enough to take the pain away if it ever becomes compulsory to own one. just pray it doesn't.

i gotta say i agree totally with the whole charger not being a retro i mean seriously come on how can u have a 4 door muscle i mean dont get me wrong there was alot of cars back in the day that had tons of horse power and was 4 doors but most weighed so much that it actually needed that horse power to actually get it around lol and as for the new mustang coming IMO i think like others have said not really much of a change from looks so far..theyll stay somewhat close to the way they have it now just changed up a lil just like they did with the fox bodys back in the day

Plenty of places selling 8 inch antennas.

Yea then have the technology. it cost money. it is the only 300 hp car for under 30,000. they gotta cut corners somewhere.
