Under Drive Pulleys

Done. Was an easy job really and I have not worked on a car other than to change the oil in about 18 years and that was a 1978 for f150. Rented a compressor, bought an air gun. Everything came of easy and went on easy. I took the fan off and had plenty of room. Drove it a little when i got done and i guess i could feel some power. The engines seem like a revs up a little faster or free'er or something. I like it, also seems a little quiter i think.

I hope i torked that bolt on right. spilled some antifreeze and that was steaming of after i drove it. but it was dark by then. I hope it isnt leaking something.

Thanks for the help MSUSN.

im sure. I only drove it a little bit so you know. Ill let you know when i really test it out but you could notice a difference in the way the engine felt. Ill put it through the paces tomorrow.

Plus im gonna dyno it again and see what i got.

Congratz man. One things holding me Back for this Mod is the issue with being conservative on electricity consumption in your car and must have a hawkish eye on your alternator charging your battery.

What are your views on this ?

Well I talked to frpp about it, among other people on this forum. He said you would not have a problem with pulleys unless you are driving a lot in rush hour traffic like sitting in a traffic jam in hundred degrees with the ac blasting. You would have to watch your gauges then. He also said like a lot of people on here that if you have some huge aftermarket stereo/enterainment system with tv's and xbox hooked up or something it could be a problem. I dont, im stock with the shaker 500. But he said he wouldnt worry about it under normal driving contitions they are still pumping more power than your alt, water pump or power steering needs. If i am sitting in traffic one day ill shut the car or the ac off if i have too.

I've had the steeda pulleys on my car for about 9 months now and never had any issues with them
