HIDs IN!

Installed the Retro-Solutions 35W, 6000K HID kit Santa brought me. I must say, this is one high quality kit-pure plug n play. I took my time and I'd guess the install took 60-90 minutes. When I was done, I held my breath and turned the headlight switch and both high and low beams worked perfectly. Very nice cutoff too. Nice white/electric blue light. I took it out after dark and drove around, OMG-I can't believe how good these lights look, and I didn't get "flashed" once. If anybody is considering converting, I highly recommend this kit.

Where did you order it from and what was the part number?

HID

I ordered the kit directly from the Retro-Solutions.com web site. http://www.retro-solutions.com/DIGITAL.html

I don't think there is any part number. I just selected the 6000K color and the H13 BiXenon kit. I think my '06 is a perfect candidate for this kit because my headlights have the little black "hat" thing over the end of the bulb, I think it's a glare shield. I don't know if other year Mustangs have this feature. I thought I read that Retro-Solutions can apply a ceramic coating over the end of the bulb if you need a glare shield. You might inquire about this.

I have a 06 gt with HID kit in the mail... I noticed today while replacing my fogs that we have plastic or metal covers for our light bulbs in the housing... Did that mess with the HID bulb in any way????

HIDs

Do you mean the black "cap" in the headlights? If so, it doesn't cause any problem, as a matter of fact, it is a good thing because it acts as a glare shield. The '07 & '08 doesn't have it and for that reason the
headlights probably have more glare. The '06 with the shield works very well with the HID kit. I haven't been flashed even once. I am thrilled with mine.
