Look man, Theres no sense in getting worked up here. Yes you have a had a few accidents, yes you are one of the more privledged children ( I mean by getting new mustang(s) at such a young age, maybe your parents spoil you maybe you bust your ass. Dont know nor do I care. There are people on here that have been saving for a long time to buy a new mustang ( myself being one of them ) and there are people on here that are given new mustangs. Now there is definitally a difference in how people think a car should be taken care, some people look at it as an expendable piece of transportation and some look at the stangs as an irreplacable part of the family. People need to quit bickering about how someone does something ( or lack there of ). Joe you definitally screwed up by jumping that curb, It may have been slick out or dark or whatever. But it comes down to the fact that it was your inexperiance ( which you admitted ) that led to all this non-sense. People are bitting your head off because you have a silver spoon shoved so far down your throat that it hangs in the toilet when you shit, its cause you were trying to find ways to "beat the system" and get someone else to pay for your mistake. This would be a totally different thread had it started with you fessing up on what happened when you " ran over the floor jack in your buddies driveway." So dont get shitty when people make assumptions based on past posts, cause your immaturity does show in the way you talk and handle different confrontations and situations... In conclusion I dont give a shit about where anyone got their stangs, who bought them for them, ect... This shit has to stop... Yes it sucks when some is given something and beats the shit out of it and you bust your ass and baby yours. Congrats. You have a nice stang and someone doesnt. To each their own... Eventually you will get whats coming towards you wether its still having a nice car 5 years from now when your close to paying it off. Or having a car that is always having serious issues do to abuse. If someone wants to run their car into a guard rail - more power to you, just be sure to post a video up. Thats all I have to say on this subject and sorry for this post being so negative and long, but these stupid bickering contests have been getting on my damn nerves...

^ Amen brother. There is really no reason for this pointless arguing. Facts are that you messed up your car, accidentally or not, and you should have to fix it. Ford is only responsible something that they may have caused or lacked to address. It sucks that you have to do pay for it, but thats what being responsible for your actions is all about. I had to wait until i was 23 to own get my GT, until I felt I was responsible enough to handle everything that came with it, money, insurance, mods....everything. Stangs are definetly a privilage to own in my opinion. I am sorry to hear bout all your hardships, but thats why it sucks being an adult sometimes. Hope you get this mess resolved though.

Well youngster that is where you are sadly mistaken. I would have turned it into the insurance company the moment it happen and would Never, Ever try and make Ford pay for something i obviously fucked up. And that is one of the reasons you need to grow up. I am also curious why you find it necessary to call us names when you know we are correct. again another sign of your lack of maturity and the fact that you need to grow up.

And 1FastFox's post above is dead on.

Here is another way to look at it....My service manager called to say my new gear set is in and the whine is gone...that being said he noticed another abnormal noise coming from the cab of the car while he was test driving it...so he is not returning the car to me ...he is going to take a tech with him on another test drive to try and identify the noise....Moral? Take care of your dealership and they will take care of you....Try to f**k them and be prepared for them to drop you like a hot potato...just aheads up...good luck with your car man!

Ok not trying to bag on you any more but the more you speak the more you show your lack of maturity and your dad is not helping matters any that is for certain. Why are you at the age of 18 Tipsy/intoxicated?

Sorry your car is damaged and hope you get it repaired soon. These are learning lessons in life and I truly hope you learn from it, but by the sound of things you won't which is really to bad.

Joe, there's certainly nothing wrong with you owning a car you worked for and paid for - this is America after all. I feel sorry for anyone who breaks their car, that's totally gotta suck. I read your posts on the radiator - I've been there on more expensive cars. Backed up over a curb in a BMW - care to guess how much a cat + exhaust system costs on a 318ti when you have to repair it 1,500 miles from home? How about replacing the motor in the same car after the radiator fails after 125k miles? Before I even owned a car I was paying for my mistakes - drove an Escort straight through a wall when I was 15. Took all summer in two shitty jobs to pay that one back.

The point isn't the troubles you've been through - hell, adversity can happen to anyone and in the end doesn't mean squat. It's all in how you handle what's dealt to you - control your problems or they end up controlling you. Trouble is, it's impossible for a person to tell when he's being used and controlled by his own self.

Oh, and a word of advice - don't drive if you're that tired man, call a cab, walk or plan ahead. Accidental manslaughter charges for creating a head on collision are the same if you're driving DUI or driving asleep. There's been a couple cases recently of entire families getting put in the grave early becuase of that.

Good luck gettin' your car fixed and don't take things so personally man.

Alright guys I understand where are you are coming from I am done with arguing you were right.... I just want too remain on this forum without the constant thought of thats that asshole kid... I was really stressed out with all the stuff that has happend and was jsut shooting off... MY father does know I jumped the car and "CHECKED" the exact speed I was going when I did... I may act very Immature sometimes but I am still only 18... What really upset me was when I was accused of not paying for my own car.... Yes my father did act as a Loan for me because he didnt want me too fall behind on payments but I did pay off my own cars....

Well this is all over now.... Car is finished today... 1,561.25
That is not too bad I just hope I can keep my warrenty on the car I know I have a warrenty on the parts....

Sorry guys I hate drama too I feel bad for shooting my mouth off...

Dont tell me you didnt drink at my age... The drinking age was probally 18 when you were my age... I also lived in Europe for 5 years of my life... Different drinking age there...

-Joe

900+742.5= $1,642.5
1642.5 ( my guess ) - 1561.25 ( actual cost ) = $81.25

Pretty good huh? And before anyone says anything, its not luck when it happens consistantly...

You hit a curb? It's your fault. Period.

Hitting a curb even at low speed can bend an axle or even the frame, depending on the angle of impact. I know because I've done it. The car is not meant to do certain things, curb hopping being one of them.

Joe, when you're young, you fuck up and make mistakes, it's part of life. Most of us have been there and done that, that's how come we know now what we thought we knew back when we didn't know what we thought we know. You know? lol.

Bottom line, learn from your mistakes, and if us old guys give you the business for it, try not to take it personally, just try and learn from it all so you don't make the same mistakes again. You know?
