Big Problem...

Well today I dropped my car off for the second time at Ford because I have been running through roters monthly... They said they were going too take a detailed look the car... They called me about 30 mins ago saying I have a bent axel and that I had to have been in an accident with the car for this too happen so they are not putting it under warrenty... They are saying about 900 in just parts... I told them I was never in an accident and I have too talk too my dad about it... What should I do... I was in one accident paid cash and they shouldnt know about it....

Bent axel what can I do about that... I need some advice....

-Joe

Not much you can do about it. You could call ford motor company and insist that you werent in an accident and see what they say. You could threaten to call a lawyer. but you were in an accident.

You could try fighting them but it may be hard to do, Or you could try fixing it yourself
try this out you can also get yourself bigger gears while your at it.

My dad knows the owner but the owner actually put 2,000 miles on my car so he knows it pretty well... I bought the car from them and the only other time they have seen my car was for the brake pads and rotors...

Hmm it probably isn't worth fighting. I mean bent axles don't just come out of no where, and its a little bit too late to try and get it fixed at another shop, but I would definitely get it fixed sooner rather than later. You could also upgrade to bigger stuff.

I would go in, pay them without complaining, then sit down with the service manager. You have two options, one is to insist you have no idea how it happened, and hope that they believe you/will keep it under warranty. If you know the guy well, then you might just say look here's what happened, is there anything you can do for me. Unless you know him really well I wouldn't admit you got into an accident, it puts you in a very liable position.

Don't go threatening to sue, it pisses people off and I really doubt you'd get anywhere, unless they believed you and thought it would be cheaper to settle. The bottom line is they should have a complete report (most likely with photos) of the car before it left the lot. Axles just don't get bent out of no where.

They gotcha bro. Bent axles just don't show up outta no where. Just pay it and have em install some 4.10s while they're at it.

Pay em first (if they can do the work). Seriously, if they have money they'll be more likely to be like "fine". But its true bent axles don't come out of no where.
