For Zip, shelby pins up close

Zip, here's some close ups for you. Last shot is of a FRPP pin stood next to the mounted shelby pin.. Exact same diameter according to my micrometer, shelby pin is exactly one half inch taller.

Thanks a bunch man. I take it in that last pic, the Shelby pin is the inboard pin? And if so, I would also assume that the pin goes through the plastic rad support cover, and down in to the top of the rad support?

The pins being a 1/2" longer is a good thing, because the FRPP ones I had were barely long enough to work correctly.

you are correct. The inner pin with the bump stop at the base is the shelby pin.

Not only are they a half inch longer, but the hole for the pin is drilled hire (closer to the top) giving a tad more space. All of that is needed because with the scuff plate being nearly a half inch thick, it's stil a close fit for me off the radiator support.

Keep in mind these also come with the brackets which would allow someone doing this for the first time to mount off the upper radiator brackets. You bolt the Shelby bracket to there and then the pins mount to that so you don't have to get creative with drilling the radiator support and wiggling the back bolt within it.

Emay, you are the man. I may have to get some of those. Been wanting to get some pins, but didn't care much for the FRPP ones.
