ford maintenance --> do i need to set tune to stock?

so i gotta take the car in for some maintenance work...just a couple problems with the driver side window...not going all the way down and rattling when its all the way up.....and its gettin scratches from inside the door panel

but anywho ~ they dont reset the computer or anything like that routinely do they? should i set it to stock b4 i take it in or ?

and i'll prolly have an offroad pipe on it b4 i take it in so if i reset it to stock its gonna be throwing a code for that cuz i'm just gonna tune it out instead of gettin the MIL Elims.

Nah, they shouldn't mess with any of that when fixing a window. Costs them time/money to mess with stuff that isn't related. You should be fine.

I never set it back to stock when I drop it off...I just bring my tuner with me to pick it up, just in case they do reflash it.

What happens if they do reflash it? Because some people have mods that you can never set it back to stock. What do you do then?

Just remember your dealer can go back through the history of the PCM and check for any changes even if you set it back to stock.

Me personally, I told my dealer what I have done, and ask them in advance not to touch the computer so I avoid any possible problems.

Warranty shmarranty.

I haven't told my dealership I have a aftermarket shifter... but they can't really prove I had it unless they took pics of it in the car...

I have never return my tune to stock when i've taken it to the dealership. They know what i have on it, haven't given me any issues about it.

tune

One thing you need to do. With your programmer, read and record what's called the strategy. If you ever did have a problem, knowing this will save you a heck of a lot of trouble. It's just a good idea to have this code on record.

cool, guess i'll just let them know i have it tuned so they dont mess with it....also quick question ~ how do u get into the options to turn off the o2 sensors? i tried but the only 2 customizable options were two things that had to do with the Spark...0-2000 and 0 degrees are what they are currently....but i couldnt figure out how to get past that to the rest of the options? or does (Brenspeed) have that setup so that u cant change stuff on the tune?

have xcal 2 of course
