? about shorty headers


just wonderd if they help much performance wise and if thet change sound much.

Shorties add some torque down low, a little more so than long tube headers, however the gain is minimal, and overall LT's are a FAR better choice for overall hp gains & sound.

LTs are well worth the money, better gains.

ive been thinking about it as well...i dont plan on going FI so i cant see the need for them in the long run.

Shorties are not nearly as good as LT's for hp gains. Or sound.


In this case, longer really is better than shorter. lol

ya but i dont ant my car sounding too loud. as long as shorties produce more torque than stockers im happy...ive been thinkin bout this for a while

RWHP gains with these mods


Check that thread out on the subject, on page 2 someone posted a write up on shorty's and specific gains through the power band. lot of mid range power.

thanx for the link 07 sounds like shorties help and way cheaper then long tube.wonder how hard is the install.i dont have a lift .but thinkin this might be way to go

Dont fret on the shorties....I got the BBK tuned ceramic coated headers and they kick ass...I can definately feel the torque and coupled with SLP's out back it is plently loud. Plus they look great under the hood I will post pics soon.
