Length is only a minor factor...equal lengh tubes and firing order through the header tubes makes more of a difference than length, but you will see slihtly higher gains with a mid/long tube setup or equal-length over shorties. A stock cast manifold allows the exhaust from the forward cylinders to swirl through all the other exhaust ports on the way to the midpipe. It's the same principle as a smooth-tube CAI...eliminate bends and vortexes in the pipe, and your air moves faster...you're not losing velocity to swirling turbulence, so your engine moves the air more efficiently, which leads to higher volumetric efficiency at high rpms. More power!!

LOL thats what im talking about. Any questions?

Man I gotta be honest, once I saw the price and features of the Mac setup, and heard the prochamber midpipe, I was in love...looking at prices from other manufacturers (especailly to ceramic coat them as an extra expense) kept pushing me back towards the Macs...got a baby on the way so I'm a huge bang-for-the-buck buyer, and they seem to be the most well-rounded for power, quality, and price...For me. You gotta get what you want!

Haha it's fun to geek out about engine physics every now and then. Lots of folks can tell you what makes power, few can tell you why. Glad you enjoyed that...

Hate to break it to you but I think the Flows sound like shit alone, but even worse with an x-pipe. Check out my exhaust sticky for proof.

And if it were me, I would run JBAs. I like the fact that they are stainless. Also, what is the ceramic coating going to do power wise? 1-2hp tops?

If you're debating about tires, stop now. If they are strictly for track duty, go with the stickier tire.

M&H Racemaster Drag Radial 325/45/17 [MH-325-45R-17] - $229.00

Yes, and yes. They are 28.5 inches tall, they will fir fine, and your car has 31 spline axles. People are launching from 5k on MT ET drags which are a true slick with no problems. And with these tire you could dump the clutch at 5k and hook like crazy.

If you wanted a sticky tire for street duty I would say the Nittos but if they are only for the tracl than MT or M&H are the way to go.
