the coating on them won't allow scratches...mine are 1 1/2 years old and not a sign of a scratch

Thats good info GTNorm, I was worried about scratching when I pick up some shelby hood pins.

Unless you buy some cheapo Hood Pins, you should be fine, because i'm sure companies like Shelby and FRPP, would make sure things like this were taken into consideration.

Good links man! I'm gonna wait for Hood Pins myself though, because I wanna wait until I get an aftermarket hood.

Good idea. I'm going to change mine to a billet set when I get a different hood as well.

Yea I just figured since I want an aftermarket hood anyway, it's kinda pointless to waste time and money on getting hood pins for the stock hood.

Yup true enough.

I only put them on mine because it will be a while before I get an after market hood. And I do a 240 mile commute to work, and the hood was flapping quite a bit at high speed, so I put them on.
