Coil On Plugs?? yes or no?


Has anyone installed an aftermarket set of COPs?? if so, are they worth the money? which brand is best? and no tunes required? thanks

I have read that they are no better or not as good as stock cop's!

might as well get some Steeda Pulleys & CMDP with the $300+ you would have spent. That is if your staying N/A

im staying N/A for a LONG time, not because i neccesarily want to, because i cant afford F/I right now lmao

I installed msd's on my wifes stang as well as mine in between runs and we both picked up .07, so they are worth about 7 hp. give or take.

in the future i may be giving you a PM about suspension work, you seem to have your car dialed in pretty good!

6) front suspension- coil overs w/175 lb springs, AJE K member & lca's, BMR sway bar delete

7) rear suspension- Eibach lowering springs, UPR lca's & track bar, Granetelli uca, lca relocation brackets

I noticed a little benefit also, but I am also s/c'd with 16psi. I think its generally accepted that N/A they are not worth anything in the way of performance.

Yeah I saw a vid on on the GMS site. It seems that on turbo and SC the motor benefits from the extra zap the coil on plugs gives; like many of the mods we get sold, they seem to work best at higher RPM or bigger bhp applications. Which if you think about it stands to reason

I have ran in the 10's on stock suspension last fall, but was spinning and couldnt run the same number every pass. with the setup I have now it will run a 10.94 to 10.97 every pass with 150 shot

Don't go with GMS. Alot of people have had problems with them

Yeah I heard bad things too; Im keeping clear of ignition and coils etc until I have some weight ripped out and decent heads, I reckon our stock electronics is more than OK for the 415 I reckon Ill have NA with heads
