Those octane boosters suck. Have a 104 octane tune made and use that when you actually use 104 octane.

the biggest gimmick in the auto business besides the "tornado" are octane boosters...they do absolutely nothing waste of money IMO sorry bro...the truth sucks sometimes

I thought torco was one of the few "true" octane boosters?

there is no special formula that make regular 93 or what have you into "race gas"... you can retard the octane.. but its not removing the other impurities

funny thing, this would be the first time I have heard of anyone calling torco a cheap octane booster.
considering the stuff is over $20 a can (32oz) and $200 (5 gal drum)
and LOTS swear to it race-wise...idk

it makes a diff, 16 oz in a half tank of 93 is 97 octane, and 32oz in 8 gal is 104 oct...supposedly.

also, 100 octane is like $10 a gallon, and torco is $40 a gallon. any questions?

I say just buy 10 gallons of 100 or 104 octane and just use it at the track.

I would like to hear the answer as well. How much timing can you add based on octane rating? Is there a formula?

Seems like I remember reading somewhere that you should advance the timing 1 degree per octane increase. So from 93 to 104 octane, you'd advance 11 degrees. I may be way off base, but I think that's what I remember reading. Have no idea where I read it though.

Its the same here. There is a quite a few shells that still carry it around here. Also, octane boosters are crap.
