I remember that post from a while ago. I think he's the only one to have a problem. Might have been a bad casting of the bellhousing.

i have them and haven't had any problems.

No shifter flex...at all...stifens up the kmember as well...almost as good as solid motor mounts...but not AS stiff......Ive never misssed a shift with it installed yet.

yup..any flex you take out of the drivetrain and put to the rear wheels is a good thing

Well,i just have the 4.0 so i hope i am allowed to post here haha.I have the prothane mounts and torque limiter setup.Like,a year later,no problem with the torque limiter setup but i felt it was tricky to get it "just right" in an effective way.I redid them several times.I also have been under the car since and i am more worried about the bolts snapping off but maybe they won't because i am not sure they are taking much of the load now. They are rusted to hell(bolts only).

The poly mounts are VERY effective, but i've heard they are more a pain on your stangs to get on..

Thanks,i am used to catching grief some places if i comment not owning the exact same model.

Maybe the instructions have improved since then. There are some important details to this somewhat simple set up that i only learned of on the internet.
I hope i don't sound to dogging about them.

I could feel the benefit or i would'nt have them on,and then i again felt another benefit quite noticed from the motor mounts.I agree they compliment each other for a really solid setup especially my notchy ass t-5,lol-

ya i could feel it instantly...the key is screw in your bellhousing bolts FIRST then attach to the k member this ensures that the bell housing bolts are binding to begin with. They should screw in all the way by hand.

i dont think so... if i do get these, i'm opting for poly bushings.. these are street cars. but my shifter does dance.

Thats the way I fitted mine. I am seriously considering replacing mounts too.

I don't believe there is a choice in bushings, only one configuration.
