Does anybody make a reasonable replica of the factory chromed (aluminum?) 18's that are a little bit wider and take the pony center cap? I want to put at least a 275/40/18 in the back and thay need to match the front.

I think your car looks HOT as is.. I wouldnt swap out those wheels. Dropping it an 1 & 1/2 would make it look even hotter!!

I know. Those would be a serious consideration if I were to get wheels.

the real question is will you be doing the work yourself for the spring swap. now that is where the real fun starts. a woman that works on her own car. i unlike most so far am quite against keeping stock wheels. they are way to narrow. if you would like to screw with people you could always have your rears widened so you still look stock, but you can put some real meat back there. that would be the only option for keeping stockers.

as long as you get your hands dirty. learn that toy you have then you won't ever have to depend on someone else to do it for you. that and when they tell you something is wrong you will have a better working knowledge of whether they are bs'in you or not

+1 on trying to do it yourself. I figured out a bunch of stuff by doing it on my own, took a while, but I got it done. BMR lowering kit would be the best way to go, but if too pricey then look at the FRPP springs too.

I agree, leave it, drop it get exhaust and intake etc once those are done look at wheels but once you look I like the black center/chrome lip combo like the foose wheels on that GT/CS that redfire showed a pic of. You will be surprised at what a difference a drop of 1.5 inches does for the look of the car, I know I was.

I love those chrome bullets. I think they really add to the old muscle car look the S197s have to them...
